Goalball has 3 key elements that make it different from other sports:
Goalball has 3 key elements that make it different from other sports:
- The ball contains bells and noise holes so it can be tracked entirely by sound
- the court is composed of tactile markings - this isn't too technical as it is made from tape and string!
- as visual impairment is unique to each individual and there are may different levels of sight, everyone on the court wears eyeshades so it's all equal.
So, if you're still reading we haven't scared you too much! if you would like to come and join in we welcome all to our training sessions at Armley leisure centre in Leeds. This happens on alternate weeks on Sunday from 2-5pm.
